Fuliza costs a one-off access fee of 1 percent of what you use, plus a daily fee from the next midnight until you repay.
The daily fee depends on what you owe, access fee included: nothing up to KES 100, then KES 3 a day, up to KES 30 a day above KES 2,500, excise duty included. So KES 800 for 7 days costs KES 50 in all. Repay before midnight and you pay only the KES 8 access fee.

Questions
How much does Fuliza charge?
Two charges. A one-off access fee of 1 percent of the amount, so KES 8 on KES 800. Then a daily fee for each midnight you still owe, set by what you owe including the access fee: KES 3 a day at first on KES 450, KES 6 on KES 800 and KES 30 once you owe more than KES 2,500, excise duty included.
When does Fuliza charge the daily fee?
Safaricom applies the daily fee the next day at midnight, on the amount you still owe, access fee included. So KES 1,000 used means KES 1,010 owed and a daily fee of KES 21.60, not KES 6. If you repay before midnight on the day you used Fuliza, you pay the access fee only.
Is there excise duty on Fuliza?
Yes. Safaricom adds 20 percent excise duty on the daily fee. The totals on this page already include it: the KES 25 top daily fee becomes KES 30.
Are the first 3 days of Fuliza free?
In July 2022 Safaricom made the daily fee free for the first 3 days on amounts of KES 101 to KES 1,000, and its Fuliza FAQ still lists it. Its Fuliza tariff page, updated 23 Jun 2025, lists the daily fees with no free days. This calculator follows that page. If the free days still apply to you, your cost is lower. Your Fuliza SMS shows what you owe.
How do I check my Fuliza limit?
Dial *334# and select Fuliza M-PESA. You see your limit, your balance and a mini statement. Safaricom gives a limit after 6 months on its network, and moves it up or down with how you use M-Pesa and repay.
How do I repay Fuliza?
You do not need to do anything. Safaricom uses any money you receive or deposit on M-Pesa to clear your Fuliza balance first. The daily fee stops once the balance is zero.
What if I do not repay Fuliza in 30 days?
Safaricom blocks your Fuliza limit if you still owe after day 30. It comes back when you repay in full. Safaricom does not publish the fees after day 30, so this calculator stops at 30 days.
Can I withdraw cash with Fuliza?
Yes. Safaricom says you can withdraw at an M-Pesa agent with Fuliza. You can also send money, pay a Paybill or a Till and buy airtime with it.
Can I clear Fuliza with USDT?
Yes, by cashing the USDT out to M-Pesa. Safaricom takes the Fuliza balance from the KES that lands. With Dovo you send USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) and cash out to your own M-Pesa number, from 2 USDT up to 200 USDT per 24 hours. You see the KES you get before you confirm.
