How do I know if my USDT address is TRC20 or BEP20?
Look at the start. A TRON (TRC20) address starts with T and has 34 characters. A BEP20 address starts with 0x and has 42 characters. An Ethereum (ERC20) address looks exactly the same as a BEP20 one. Paste it in the checker above to be sure.
Is a 0x address BEP20 or ERC20?
It can be both. BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum use the same address format, so a wallet shows the same 0x address on both. The network you pick when you send decides where the USDT goes. Binance says the network must match on both sides.
Which network do I pick on Binance to send USDT to Dovo?
BSC (BEP20). Dovo takes USDT on BNB Smart Chain only, and your Dovo deposit address starts with 0x. On 13 Oct 2026, Binance charged 0.01 USDT to withdraw USDT on BSC, and the smallest withdrawal was 5 USDT. Dovo cash outs start at 2 USDT, up to 200 USDT per 24 hours.
What happens if I send USDT on the wrong network?
It may be lost. Binance says it cannot get back tokens deposited to a Binance account on the wrong network. If you sent them to your own wallet that holds both networks, you can often send them back on the right one. Your Dovo deposit address is on BNB Smart Chain, so always send to it on BSC (BEP20).
What is the checksum in a USDT address?
It is a built-in typo check. In a mixed-case 0x address, the capital letters follow a hash of the address (EIP-55). The EIP says a random typo still passes only about 1 time in 4,000. A TRON address ends with 4 checksum bytes from a double SHA-256, and a TON address ends with a CRC16. An all-lowercase 0x address cannot be checked this way.
Can I send USDT to the USDT contract address?
No. The contract is the token itself, not a wallet. Wallets use it to show your balance. Always send to the deposit address the receiver shows you. The contracts are listed in the table above, and the checker warns you if you paste one.
Can I still receive USDT on a Bitcoin address?
Not new USDT. Tether stopped minting USDT on Omni, the Bitcoin layer, on 17 Aug 2023. It ended redemptions on Omni, Kusama, Bitcoin Cash SLP, EOS and Algorand from 1 Sep 2025. Tether lists 13 active USDT networks today, among them TRON, Ethereum, Solana and TON.
