The Equity Bank Paybill number is 247247. To fund your own Equity account, Equity says to type your Equitel phone number as the account number.
To pay into another Equity account, type that account number. To pay a shop that shows an Equity Till, type the Till number. Equity's tariff guide says it charges nothing to receive money from M-Pesa. M-Pesa may add its own Paybill charge. On Safaricom's tariff, where the customer pays, that is KES 10 on KES 1,000 and KES 48 on KES 10,000. M-Pesa shows it before you enter your PIN.

Common problems
I entered the wrong account number
Call Equity at once and give them the M-Pesa transaction code from your SMS.
Safaricom's Lipa na M-PESA terms cover Pay Bill accounts. They say a business must reverse a payment made in clear error within 72 hours. If it does not, Safaricom can complete the reversal.
You can also ask Safaricom for a reversal. Forward the M-Pesa SMS to 456. If you paid in the M-PESA app, tap Reverse transaction right away.
I paid the wrong Paybill number
Ask for a reversal right away. Forward the M-Pesa SMS to 456. If you paid in the M-PESA app, tap Reverse transaction at once.
Safaricom contacts the business before it reverses the payment. Its terms say it is not liable when you enter wrong details, so a reversal is not guaranteed.
The shop shows an Equity Till. What do I type?
Use 247247 as the Business no. Type the shop's Till number as the Account no.
- Equity's Pay with Equity page gives this exact path for M-Pesa: Paybill 247247, then the Till number.
- The same Till also takes Airtel Money and Equitel payments.
- Equity says the shop pays no charge to receive it. You pay the normal M-Pesa charge.
My USDT cash-out arrived, but I want to pay Equity directly from Dovo
Dovo cashes out to M-Pesa only. It does not pay a Paybill, a Till or a bank account for you.
Pay 247247 from your M-Pesa after the KES lands. The M-Pesa Paybill charge applies as usual.
