Some schools and landlords use Co-op's other Paybill, 400222. There you type their business code, then #, like 123456#. Co-op's tariff guide lists a deposit from M-Pesa as free. M-Pesa may add its own Paybill charge. On Safaricom's tariff, where the customer pays, that is KES 10 on KES 1,000 and KES 48 on KES 10,000. M-Pesa shows it before you enter your PIN.

- Enter the amountOne M-Pesa payment can be up to KES 250,000. You can move up to KES 500,000 in one day.
- Check the details, then enter your PINM-Pesa shows the business name, the account number, the amount and the charge. Stop if anything is wrong.
- Wait for two SMSM-Pesa confirms first. Then Co-op Bank sends an SMS with the deposit details. Keep the M-Pesa transaction code as your proof.

Common problems
My school or landlord gave me Paybill 400222
400222 is Co-op's MCollection Paybill for businesses, like schools and landlords. Use it only when they give it to you.
- Enter 400222 as the Business no.
- For the Account no., type their business code, then #. Example: 123456#.
- You may add your name, student number or house number after the #, like 123456#Hse24. It is not required, but it helps them find your payment.
- You and the business both get a confirmation SMS. You pay the normal M-Pesa Paybill charge.
I entered the wrong account number
Call Co-op Bank at once and give them the M-Pesa transaction code from your SMS.
Safaricom's Lipa na M-PESA terms cover Pay Bill accounts. They say a business must reverse a payment made in clear error within 72 hours. If it does not, Safaricom can complete the reversal.
You can also ask Safaricom for a reversal. Forward the M-Pesa SMS to 456. If you paid in the M-PESA app, tap Reverse transaction right away.
I got the M-Pesa SMS but not the Co-op SMS
Check the account number in the M-Pesa SMS. If it is right, call Co-op Bank with the M-Pesa transaction code.
If the account number is wrong, ask for a reversal at once. Forward the M-Pesa SMS to 456. Safaricom contacts the business first, so a reversal is not guaranteed.
My USDT cash-out arrived, but I want to pay Co-op directly from Dovo
Dovo cashes out to M-Pesa only. It does not pay a Paybill, a Till or a bank account for you.
