I entered the wrong account number
Call NCBA at once and give them the M-Pesa transaction code from your SMS.
Safaricom's Lipa na M-PESA terms cover Pay Bill accounts. They say a business must reverse a payment made in clear error within 72 hours. If it does not, Safaricom can complete the reversal.
You can also ask Safaricom for a reversal. Forward the M-Pesa SMS to 456. If you paid in the M-PESA app, tap Reverse transaction right away.

Safaricom contacts the business before it reverses the payment. Its terms say it is not liable when you enter wrong details, so a reversal is not guaranteed.
What do I type for an NCBA Till short code?
Use 880100 as the Business no. Type the short code the business gave you as the Account no.
- NCBA's example short code is PAYNCBA.
- You can add a note after a space. NCBA's example is PAYNCBA Rent.
- The money goes to the NCBA account behind that code. You never need the business's bank account number.
